Hi,
I am not sure who reads these, but I am writing to PLEAD that you ask Mr. Feinstein call my aunt, Elizabeth Goodwin-Lane of Warwick RI.

She was scheduled to see him at Foxwoods on March 7th (I think that was the date), but due to a rapid decline in her condition, she was forced to cancel her tickets and her stay at Foxwoods that night.

Elizabeth is a former nun, that married for the first time in 2002. She is 79 years old and has been an avid fan of Mr. Feinstein and this was going to be her first opportunity to see him perform live. She and her husband had made plans for her sister, Norma Dexter that is suffering from Parkinson’s Disease, and her other sister, Louise Teeven, and brother-in-law, Paul Teeven who is also suffering from Parkinson’s.

Just getting all of them to Foxwood’s was going to be a challenge in and of itself, but the family was committed to getting them there since it was likely going to be the last time that they would all be together. Unfortunately, one week before the concert, Elizabeth’s oncologist informed her that her ovarian cancer was spreading and no longer treatable and told her she needs to just enjoy whatever time she has left.

The doctor stated to me today that she has no more than two months to live. Elizabeth will learn that news this weekend and will be heartbroken

My name is Joe Maloney, her nephew, and I have been handling her medical care since she was diagnosed last November. It would mean the world to her if she could hear from Mr. Feinstein and it would be completely unexpected. I do hope you take this email seriously and do what you can to have him contact her. (I only wish he was still in the area, but it appears he is touring in Florida this month...if he chose to make a personal visit, I would pick up the expenses, but I am sure that is not possible.

One last thing, my aunt was lucky enough to be part of the Miss World Pageant in the 70’s along with my uncle Frank Goodwin, who was a photographer for the pageant. She met Bob Hope several times and many other stars of the day and was always so thrilled when she came home and had the stories (and pictures) to share with all of us.

Please do what you can to make this happen. She lives at 651 Orleans Ct in Warwick RI. Her phone is 401-829-8150. That is actually her husband’s cell phone and is the best way to reach them. He is 81 and a little hard of hearing. My aunt is also a little hard of hearing also as a result of the chemotherapy, so the louder you speak the better!

Thank you for your consideration. Have a great day.

Joe Maloney
